A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a remote computer that runs 24/7 in a professional data center. For MetaTrader 4 traders, a VPS ensures your Expert Advisors never stop running due to power outages, internet failures, or computer crashes. It provides ultra-low latency connections to broker servers and eliminates manual monitoring.
Can I use this with any broker?
Yes! MT4 VPS works with any forex broker that supports MetaTrader 4. Simply install MT4 inside your VPS and log in with your broker credentials. We don't restrict or favor any specific brokers.
How many Expert Advisors can I run?
You can run as many EAs as your VPS resources allow. Each VPS has a dedicated CPU core and 2GB RAM, which is typically enough for 5-10 EAs running simultaneously, depending on their complexity and trading frequency.
What happens if my VPS goes down?
We maintain 99.9% uptime with redundant infrastructure. In the rare event of downtime, we automatically restart your VPS and MT4. All your settings, EAs, and configurations are preserved. If we fail to meet our 99.9% SLA, you receive service credits (see Terms of Service).
Can I access my VPS from my phone?
Yes! Our web-based VNC viewer works on any device with a browser - desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. No apps or software installation required. Simply log in to your dashboard and click "Access VPS".
Do you provide MT4 platform or do I need to install it?
MetaTrader 4 comes pre-installed on your VPS! After email verification, your VPS is deployed with MT4 already configured. Simply connect to your broker and start trading immediately.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your VPS remains active until the end of your current billing period. After that, all data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Make sure to download your files, EAs, and any trading history before canceling. We cannot recover deleted data.
Is my trading data secure?
Absolutely. Each VPS runs in an isolated Docker container with dedicated resources. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We never access your trading strategies, broker credentials, or account information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I upgrade or get more resources?
Currently, we offer a single plan optimized for MT4 trading (1 CPU core, 2GB RAM, 50GB storage). This is sufficient for most traders. If you need additional resources, contact business@mt4-vps.com to discuss enterprise solutions.
How do I know if my EA is running correctly?
Access your VPS via web VNC and check the MT4 "Experts" tab at the bottom. You'll see logs from your EAs, including entry/exit signals and errors. You can also check your broker's trading history to confirm trades are being executed.
